Hello From our gorgeous Hawai'i. This week I've been spending much time putting some Valentine sachets together...I am so grateful to have my store at Etsy...it's too much fun and I am grateful to have sold many sachets. Working with different trims and presentations, I'm excited about the possible combinations! Look for my new Valentines throughout this coming week at http://www.carrierojo.etsy.com.

I met another gifted artisan through Etsy before Christmas and purchased a few of her things to mail off to my daughter in Arizona. It's a great way to do stocking stuffers for someone in another city! Kathleen Cavender hails from Alaska. She and her husband moved there three years ago and she gave birth to her daughter Hannah there. Alaska is a wonderous place and she likes to weave a sense of the magical into her everyday life, hoping to pass this on to her children.

Kathleen actually has two Etsy stores: http://www.KatsKuriousity.etsy.com and http://www.katzklawz.etsy.com. She started taking apart her old jewelry in the 80's and combining it with thrift store treasures, reconstructing it into something magical. One of her stores is very ethereal (KatsKuriousity) while the other store let's her goth past seep through in a wonderful mysterious way (KatzKlawz). Kathleen tells me she makes up stories about each piece as she is crafting them, infusing her wonderful magical energy into each item.

I am happy to say I own several of her earrings as she does many fairies, moons and stars...her things are simply dreamy and her prices are unbelievably affordable! Take the time to float through her stores and enjoy the wonderful and wild each shop offers!

I have made a decision to feature a different artist each week since there are so many talents I would like to share with you. Look for artists from Etsy.com and from Talent Data Base.com...also from Hawai'i - there are local artisans here that I can't wait to share with you! Until next week, Aloha and Mahalo Nui Loa!
